Mortgage Industry Expert Blog

Expert blogs don't have to be boring and templated. They become serious businesses, and their creators understand that a blog should be implemented with an audience and monetization in mind.

What task did we have?

The Credit Blog has been available on the Internet for many years. It has its own circle of regular readers, and their number is constantly increasing. Expert blog maintained by Michał Dawidowicz, provides extensive knowledge and support mainly in the process of lending the purchase of real estate. The task of our agency was to design a blog and create a new brand logo.

We knew that our approach had to be out of the box. A modern blog cannot look like hundreds of others. We wanted to highlight the professional nature of the content from the finance and real estate industry. Our graphic concept went in the direction of creating an expert information service.

What was the goal?

The purpose of redesigning the blog run by Mr. Michał Dawidowicz was to modernize and create a new image of the portal — very substantive, very expert. The blog is to become an information center in the future, a thematic industry website. The author wants to break away from the classic approach to blogging and look at this topic from the point of view of an entrepreneur, for whom a blog is not just a hobby, but primarily a business and a source of acquiring contacts.

Target group

At the moment, the target audience of the content created on the blog is mainly women looking for information on the source of raising funds for the purchase of an apartment or house. Of course, the purchase of real estate can have different grounds:

  • purchase of an apartment or house for personal use (often the first own 4 angles)
  • purchase of real estate for rent (mainly apartments and service premises)
  • buying an apartment for your children or parents

What may be surprising is the fact that information about loans is mainly sought by women. It is they who include in the family the role of a person collecting information about financial products offered by banks.

Briefly about the implementation

When starting work on any project, we always conduct a deep interview with the client, about why he carries out such a project, what is his vision of the end result, who is the target group or for whom we create the project, and what elements will decide whether the result is satisfactory or not.

Knowing the answers to the above questions, we started working on the graphic design of the website: BlogKredytowy.pl. Wanting to get a very professional image, while remembering that the blog is a website providing content, we opted for a neutral color scheme. Black, white, navy blue and red are the basic colors of the service.

An interesting element of the newly built blog are loan calculators, which help future borrowers to independently estimate the amount of paid installments, the impact of overpayments on the amount of loan installments, or simulate the effectiveness of refinancing the current loan.

The implementation of the new blog site was also an opportunity to design a new logo. The signature of the mark was based on the first letters of the name B+K. The color scheme had to be based on classic financial colors i.e. shades of blue and navy blue. The main reason for this choice is a reference to the previous version of the logo and the customer's request that such a color scheme should continue to be maintained.

Complementary elements in the branding design of the Blog Kredytowy brand were the creation of social media profiles, design of business cards, letterhead and footer of company emails.

Effect

We have created an unconventional blog with ambitions to become a professional information service on the subject of mortgage loans and broadly understood finance. We paid attention to the intuitive thematic division, unobtrusive graphics and a layout that helps in access and consumption of content.
