We have created a modern visual identity for the Be Usable brand and a web service based on the best User Experience practices.
Be Usable is a company specializing in the creation of IT teams and contact centers. The client approached us with a request to create a visual identity and a professional website design. We received a name and a brief description of the business. So we had to create virtually the entire visual identity of the brand from scratch.
The main goal that the client set before us was to create a modern visual image of the company. The website was supposed to be a B2B (Business to Business) business card for business partners (investors, medium and large enterprises, building IT teams or contact centers from scratch), reflecting its professionalism and stable character.
Our target group consisted of companies from various industries that faced the need to create or develop an IT team or contact center and wanted to outsource this process. The direct recipients of our activities were therefore business owners, management staff and experienced HR and IT specialists — people with extensive experience, with a predominance of men over 35 years of age.
We started with the development of a visual identity, which consisted of the company logo, colors, typography, etc. We used a modern, business color scheme — a combination of blue, associated with stability and safety, and orange, intended to symbolize youth and vitality. The simple and legible form of the sign was based on the golden ratio.
At the next stage, we proceeded to design the website. The main theme that accompanied us throughout the design process was to create an online business card of a stable and professional partner in business. Important was the fact that the website was also developed for foreign audiences, e.g. in the UK or Germany. We designed a bright, modern and very clear website using two basic company colors (blue and orange) and different shades of gray.
The main premise was to present Be Usable as a serious and trustworthy business partner, thus detailing the most important information — about the company itself, what it does and how it approaches business. Information such as the company's investments in the technology startup market or its key customers were supplemented.
The heart of Be Usable is the human being, which is why we based the main Key Visual on people's photos. The human factor is extremely important in the IT industry. The very name of the company is strongly associated with this. The customer's idea of the name “be usable” comes from the idea that you have to be a useful employee, team member or partner.
In the course of work on the site, we conducted tests of Krug with the participation of 5 users. This is an extremely simple test, evaluating the first contact a user has with the site. In its main premise, the recipient, regardless of which subpage he is on, should be able to instantly answer a few basic questions:
In addition, we asked our subjects to perform a simple task: to ask for the recruitment of the IT team and observed how they behave and what path the subjects will choose to achieve the goal.
The tests showed that the design direction we chose was correct. The basic tasks were simple to perform and intuitive.
As a result, the entire image of the company acquired a professional and modern character, and the company received the tools to be able to compete with other large players on the Polish and foreign market.
